Genetic Testing

To learn more about our Remote Care Services, contact us at info@santoshahealth.com

Remote care is essential. As we enter the flu season this year, receiving care at home is more important than ever. Santosha Health is dedicated to coordinating your healthcare needs while you shelter in place. We will focus on what matters to you and not what is the matter with you.

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) refers to the technology used to electronically capture, transmit, and store health information between patients and health providers using smart devices. Receive continuous care in the comfort of your home using digital devices, such as a blood pressure cuff, weight scale or blood glucose meter to stay connected to your health provider. The health information is readily available for review to identify and prevent problems before they arise.

Genetic Testing

Nutrigenomic Testing Shutterstock 10.29.

A genetic test analyzes your DNA and provides your health provider with information to help determine how you may be responding to certain medications, nutrition, or supplements.

Pharmacogenomics is the study of how a person’s genetic makeup can affect their response to medications.

Why should you get a pharmacogenomic test?
  • Your medications don’t seem to be working well.

  • Save time and money by identifying the right drug for you.

  • Reduce the risk of side effects from taking multiple medications.

  • Tailor prescribing decisions to your specific needs – reduce medication trial and error.

Nutrigenomics is the study of the relationship between your genes and nutrition to help determine how the body responds to different foods, beverages, and supplements; and, in turn, how genetic variations affect the way you respond to nutrients in foods.

Are you eating the right kinds of foods? Do you need to take all those supplements?

A nutrigenomic test will provide the genetic results to create a roadmap for the nutrition and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your specific health and wellness goals.

Antioxidant BioPhotonic Scanner

S3-biophotonic-scanner.jpg

Exposure to free radicals from environmental pollution, lifestyle choices, dietary habits, mental stress, and insufficient exercise causes oxidative stress that can trigger cell damage-related health issues.

Antioxidants can prevent or slow cell damage to cells by neutralizing free radicals. Although antioxidants are naturally produced by our bodies, they are most abundant in fruits and vegetables, and may be consumed as supplements.

How do you measure antioxidant levels?

The BioPhotonic scanner is a non-invasive tool that measures carotenoid levels in your skin using an optical method known as Resonant Raman Spectroscopy. By placing the palm of your hand in front of the scanner’s safe, low-energy blue light, within seconds, you will obtain a reading of the carotenoid antioxidant levels in your skin.

By using this skin test and through nutrition counseling, find out how your diet, lifestyle or supplements can improve your overall antioxidant protection.
